Move DNS and traffic without interrupting your service.
Complete this guide in a test environment first, then roll it out to production in stages.

Pre-migration checks
Inventory DNS records, certificates, origins and dependencies. Lower TTL early to leave room for validation and rollback.
- Export existing DNS records
- Record current peak traffic and error rate
- Set TTL to 300 seconds
- Prepare a rollback path

Shift traffic gradually
Start with a low-risk subdomain through CDNF and expand in stages. Observe at least one normal business cycle after each change.

Complete and clean up
Restore an appropriate TTL, confirm certificate renewal and monitoring have moved, then save the final configuration in the change record.
